Minimize What exactly is a Murphy Bed?

Murphy beds are beds that are stored vertically inside a wall cabinet, opening downward for use when needed. Originally invented for the urban cities of the North in the early 1900’s, the space-saving features of Murphy Beds have led to their rediscovery in the last decade, especially when combined with matching cabinetry to form complete Murphy Bed Systems. Generically, they are referred to as wall beds.

Minimize Are Quality Wall Beds comfortable?
Absolutely! It's a REAL BED!! Unlike sofa beds and futons, Quality Wall Beds do not require any folding of the mattress. Therefore, you are sleeping on a quality innerspring mattress without the bars and lumps associated with sofa beds or futons.

Minimize Are Quality Wall Beds difficult to open and close?
NOT AT ALL. Most people are surprised at how little effort is required. The Murphy Frame Mechanism that Quality Wall Beds uses is spring-balanced for easy operation. Stop by our showroom and try them for yourself.

Minimize What sizes do Quality Wall Beds come in?
All the same sizes as conventional bedding: Twin, Full (double), Queen and King.

Minimize Do I have to buy special sheets or linens?
NO. Since Quality Wall Beds uses normal size mattresses, all of your existing sheets and linens will work just fine.

Minimize What finishes do Quality Wall Beds come in?
There are many beautiful wood grain finishes and exciting colors to pick from. We offer you colors other companies do not. You can choose from flat or raised panel doors. You can even have real wood.

Minimize Do most people buy just a Quality Wall Bed?
OCCASIONALLY, virtually all of our sales are for more than one item, which can include the Quality Wall Bed and matching vertical storage cabinets, often with Home Office companion pieces. This not only makes more sense from a visual and decorating standpoint, but also adds to the space-saving functionality of the furniture.

Minimize Can I customize a Quality Wall Bed for my own particular needs?
YES! That is the beauty of modular cabinetry. It can be mixed and matched in hundreds of different combinations to suit your individual needs.

Minimize What is your delivery time?
We have our own manufacturing facility in Largo. We keep mechanisms and mattresses in stock, so our lead time is approximately four weeks from the date you place your order.

Minimize What is involved in the set up of a Quality Wall Bed?

The Bi-Fold Murphy Bed frame itself sits on the floor by inserting a mounting board.

The Panel Bed frame is attached to the cabinet surrounding it.

All of the cabinetry is squared up and held in place with minimal attachments to existing studs. We do not recommend customers attempt to setup the units themselves, as there are hundreds of parts and improper assembly or installation could result in a poorly functioning system.

Minimize Can we take our Quality Wall Bed with us when we move?
SURE! Most anything that can be setup can be taken down. However, many of our customers have found that keeping the Quality Wall Bed with the house increases their home’s resale value. The vast majority of these customers have then come back and bought another Quality Wall Bed for their new home.

A trim kit adds a finishing touch to your Quality Wall Bed system. It consists of matching trim pieces that fill in the gaps between the top and bottoms of the beds and some cabinetry.

Minimize Can I buy just a murphy bed frame and mechanism?
SURE! We do sell the frames and mechanisms only. However, we cannot give the usual guarantee if we do not set them up.
